pick a number (from 1 to 10) in your head and open the Bible at any page.
Quite often the Spirit of Christ will give you guidance by allowing you to focus on the sentence right next to the number that you imagined.
Quite often the sentence will summarize exactly what you are going through at that moment of time. |

Candy, it s better for people to start in the Gospels, and then start researching the background, in the Old testament.
But, personally?
You've been a poster for a long time here, and I don't think you are sincere.
What is your problem concerning the Gospels, then?

Bible Study Fellowship is a great way to begin to understand-it is non denominational-I personally have attended and it has really helped-

I discovered an amazing Pastor this week on YouTube. His name is David Pawson .
He has tons of videos of sermons and he is brilliant! Never in my life have I ever had a Pastor who really EXPLAINS everything as he goes along. He takes his time and brings the bible to life with his brilliant way of articulating things. Its been just one week for me watching him and already I've come to understand so much more than any other past Pastor and reading the bible alone has ever done.
Look him up. You won't be disappointed. He has his own channel on YouTube. He is old, but he is quite funny at times and his passion shines so brightly on what he does. He might be able to help you get more out of the bible. He has for me :)
