Pete,

I don't doubt that the Vatican hides crucial things from us.

Apart from the Book of Enoch, and as you suggested the Gospel of Judas, can you point us to other things we can explore?

Thank you

Instead of singling out one religion, look at the whole idea and function of religion. Its a man made perception used to control ultimately through fear, and suppression. Religion is just man's attempt at trying to first explain spirituality, and then suppress it!

I think it kind of started out with good and progressive intent, but then like everything good some people want to exploit it. But even some of them from the very start just seem completely backwards.

Where i am from there is a church that used to kill women, who basically where just psychics, well they called them witches back in those days. I don't think the pope is any different from anybody here, in fact i would rather listen to afew certain members here when it comes to wisdom than the pope.

I don't really agree with the way some people need validation, from somebody to believe this or that. The announcement that the pope made about animals. Why do you need him to tell you something like that....? if you just develop yourself spirituality and emotionally, you would not need to constantly need validation from somebody within some system.

I believe that there is allot of truth in religions, because essentially it's just spirituality. But then like i stated, it was manipulated and molded into something else. Which does not really empower people, and it essentially scares people.

But yes, from what i have seen this new pope seems progressive and a good guy.

Edited my post: Remembered a certain members advice here.

Hi Folks..

Yumi; Oh,where to begin..?..lol...It is safe to assmen here,if the catholic church banned it as herasy, then it contains something contrary to their authority - so ANYTHING they declare as herasy, isindeed pertinant to Christs REAL truth....Essential reading for a start, would be ALL the Disciples Gospels - most wrote at least 1,some wrote 2 or 3...

John, for example, famously has a Gospel canon AND suposedeldy wrote Revelaitions also - these the church said are "god inspired",and he is a Prophet...BTW,John himself does NOT claim such authorship at all, does NOT put his name to his gospel, and does NOT speak from the first person perspective withn it...Bsides these 2 gospels though, attributed to him,he does also have TWO others, and these two ARE fully claimed by him...The SECRET gospel of John states right a the beginning, that it is John speaking, going off to meditate alone in the desert, and the book is his REVELATION of the Divine encounter with Christ....

Now THAT is essential reading wouldnt you all say..?..A chief Disciple has a DIRECT spiritual encounter with the Christ - and yet this church forbid this knowldge, labelled it herasy and hunted and killed any who undertsood it..One second John is Divine Prophet, now he is demon spawn heretic, and no body even questioned....

ALL the disciples have books...EVEN MARY MAGDALENE,who is described by the others,as Christs favoured, and who adopts a leadership role after His death - SHE is ignored cpmpletely....THOMAS has THREE gosples - all ignored completly...The church called him "dounting thomas",but actually its not doubts he expresses - its QUESTIONS - and Christ answers Him fully - again thi struth forbidden to us..

Judas as said, most revealing, for Christ tells Him EVERYTHING,the comlete creation saga then ASKS Judas to betray Him so that He can comlete the task at ahand and Ascend to His Father...Judas did NOT betray Christ at all - it looks more like he facilitated the events purposefully as Christ bid Him to do..He then committed suicide as Christ also told Him that he would ascend the mortal realm, because of the things that CHRIST TAUGHT - Judas was ready for such ascention - His gospel explains it all - and yet, this too,is forbidden to us..

And this Ascention is WHAT IT IS ALL ABOUT - the CRUCIAL truth of Christ,is forbidden - and instead, this religion teaches contrary, has us trapped here in the lower realms, lesser creation..PURPOSEFULLY it with holds this truth,fr if we have this knowldge, then they, the priestly authority, are obsolete, pure and simple..

There are even dozens of manuscripts from lesser figures, those on the outskirts,or later followers..These too wrote their accouts as they folow this entourage, witness His teachings and miracles - but again, all this truth, forbidden to us...The only reason is again, because they contain direct knowdlege that is damaging to the churches mortal power and authoirty, makes them obsolete...

I would even say in all honestly,if you want the truth of Christ - then actualy the first place to look - the first Wisdom to uncover - would be from the East,Veda, the Indian wisdom, the truth of Kundalini, the chakral energetic system..THIS is essential complimentary knowldge, and once understood,Christs deep teaching makes clear and concise sense....Its ALL about Divne mind and the energy of Creation...Perhaps this deep mataphysical wisdom, was beyond the comprehension of the church,so they gave us this "public" twisted doctrine in a vain attemt to understand..PERHAPS it happened that way, they are IGNORANT of His truth....

I do NOT think so though - for firstly,Christ Himself, warned us repeatedly this subterfuge was happening and would continue to happen He said..He was very scathing of the religious authoirty of His day - Pharisees especially - He said they lied to us on purpose - had taken the keys to wisdom and locked it away, wil not let us know He said...So,its NOT ignorance at all - its PURPOSEFUL deception..Thismodern church is a direc continuation of what cam ebefore..That being the case then,ANYTHING that is deemed herasy by this church, should realy be considered essential spiritual truth...A really good website t start, the Nag Hammadi library..Amongst these manuscripts, you will see Christ directly reveal the Father His nature, our truth and predicamant, and of course how to overcome this situation, save our Self and become like Him...The church could not allow that, for if WE become like HIM,then they are obsolete...

MindPower; "Instead of singling out one religion, look at the whole idea and function of religion. Its a man made perception used to control ultimately through fear, and suppression. Religion is just man's attempt at trying to first explain spirituality, and then suppress it! "

Well, that doesnt hold true though - take Buddhism for instance - NO control,NO fear,NO suppression...Same for Hinduism TAo,native American spirituality, indeed,MOST sprituality is NOT like this..A TRUE religion IS based completly on SPIRITUAL EXPERIENCE and builds indeed around that core,as man endeavours to explain that experience in mortal terms...That does not necassarily lead to these negative traits - except in THIS catholic religion SPECIFICALY ,it iis indeed, the core of THEIR doctrine - but ONLY their doctrine - other religions are not so guilty of this domination...

No matter what you think of the Catholic Church the Pope represents hundreds of millions of people. He has great influence .... And therefore his edicts matter.

This Pope at least seems guided by Spirit and values, rather than observing protocol. Something which serves the greater good - which everyone of goodwill should be grateful for, no matter what their creed.

His inner circle retracted those claims. Saying he was not saying that when asked by a boy who lost his dog, but was merely restating a quote from a prior Pope.

That said, Catholocism/Christianity has fallen a long way from its core teachings, and is a shadow of its original self. If it wishes to continue to exist within the world, and not steadily decline as it's doing, it will need a leader who can change with the times and create new movement for its sect into a new age.

Pope Francis has some good ideas to move forward, but he still has many old beliefs that are no longer able to be applied today's people. And as such they will not gain enough momentum to fully move forward. It is a delicate balance to achieve. Moving forward, bringing in new people, and not losing your older practitioners, and those that still adhere to the old teachings.

I wouldn't jump to such conclusions innerlight. Those black and white ideas are something that messed me up two years ago. I used to write horrible blogs condemning the Church. I regret it- not because I believe that the Catholic Church is the so-called "one true church" or because "it was founded by Christ", and not because I identify as a fundamental Catholic- but because I came to the realization in my own experience that this Church is full of many enlightened beings.

Just recently I went to a Monastery that I love and I decided to become a bit acquinated with the priest. They are Benediction monks. One of them, an Indian embraced me and my friend and it was powerful. He would keep saying to people who had something nice to say about the Mass, "Oh! You have inspired me!" as if no shroud of ego at all. And on top of that a woman came by and said, 'Ask father ____ for advice. He gets messages from God and then come true. And if he gives you a lucky number, go by it because it will be your number to follow in this life."

My mind was like, "Wow! This guy is an orthodox monk, they all are and they all conduct Mass in this underground dwelling that is humble, silent, and lit with candles and they are not just "orthodox", they have a connection to something deeper!"

I realized that some religious Traditions are a little more advance than others because they have a connection to those things mystical- the Catholic Monks and Jesuits, Tibetan and Mahayan Buddhists, Sufi Muslims, and Hindu yogis. And Catholicism along with Eastern Orthodox are the only churches that believe in "direct Divine communion" and "communion of Saints" and "divinization of the soul" which means the soul's destination is for a divine state.
