Dream about flowers 🌺

Last night I had a dream containing a theme of flowers and gifts, I am curious what anyone's take on this may mean.

In my dream I am walking into my office carrying a large box. I walk to my desk, there is another large box sitting on my desk. I pull out my chair and set the box I am carrying down, I take off the coat that I am wearing and I ask my coworker if I can leave my jacket and purse at her desk for now because the boxes contain flowers and I do not want to place anything on top of them and risk ruining the flowers inside. It is then that I notice a lacy royal blue dress also at my desk, I feel like it is a gift for me, I am to wear it to a special occasion. Another fancy event that I am to go to I think to myself. I am giddy. I look across the office and notice a friend of mine, she is an older woman. She is selling flowers from a garden that she has in the office. I walk over the flowers are all in bloom. Now I either buy two flowers, or she gives them to me (the exchange was a little fuzzy upon waking). Before she hands me the flowers I notice a section of her garden where her flowers are growing on rocks and in between rocks, in full bloom. "They can grow on rocks!" I say. She replies yes. I then wake up.
Anyone with a thought about what the message may be here?

I like your take on this! I was also thinking that flowers were meaning love, emotion, beauty, gift. I was reflecting on the fact that I kept them in the big box, keeping them safe, keeping them hidden, afraid or careful to not allow them to become damaged. Yes that emotion is available, but in my dream I protected it. I think you are right on with investing in the process, rather than appreciate the gift of the flowers, in my dream I focused on where they grew. I think this is a lesson for me that my higher self is pointing out. I am only focused on romantic love perhaps, and I am not seeing the abundance of non romantic love at this moment.
