Self protection tips needed

I first receit a little verse
I am protected by God first and foremost
I am Protected by the Arch angels
I am protected by my highest guides
I am Protected by my spiritual family.

I also then visualise my pores opening, and light shooting out of each and every pore, and see my self surrounded by light.

The power of God protects us

I suggest becoming transparent. Let all those energies flow through you so that you can bless them as they pass by you. If you try to avoid them, they will linger in your body waiting for the attention they need.

They also linger when you focus on them. Be compassionate, kind, and then releasing. Keep yourself in your light this way and the heaver energies will not linger.

You are the God that most of us see as an entity that is outside of you. When you claim your divinity and be the light that you are, the darker energies can not be present.

It is so true that how I react to the energy is totally up to me. For me it is really paying attention and realizing that it is not my energy and so it has no hold over me!! Staying positive is so important too but some days it's not always easy.

This is a very helpful topic, as I struggle meditating sometimes!

A psychic helped me see the connection between being empathic (sensitive to people's emotions, thoughts, bodily sensations etc.) and being a channel. This is a byproduct of meditating for many years. I get into trouble if I am around people and not conscious about how our energies are intermingling...because mine are affecting theirs and theirs are affecting mine. When I remember to do a check-in, I am ok. I can bring in light (as in reiki) then it just cleanses everything. Just the same it can be overwhelming in a large crowd - or in a shopping mall where the energies are very scattered, or around extremely negative people (depressed, hostile or who have mental illness). Now I am actually challenging myself by going into a social work / psychotherapy career. If I am truly strong spiritually I will be able to handle it. A lot of that strength will come from centering myself in the observer, in a space that my teacher calls the eye or "I" of the hurricane.
