What is the use of being shown prophetic dreams if at the peak of the dream or when something is going to be revealed to you, you wake up? Leaving you eagerly wanting to go to that sleep state again, hoping for the dream to continue and the message revealed fully.

Perhaps just to show you that you can trust your dreams and the guidance you receive. Many people dismiss dreams as nothing and it can take time to get them to a place of openness to follow their dreams and seek to understand.

i believe that "the future is unwritten", meaning that there is no predetermined
outcome awaiting for us to experience it. the point could be in determining how
you would like things to transpire GalTrav. get your whole self into alignment
with the desired results, and simply let them play out as they will.
apparently, it's important to remember to 'detach' yourself from insistence on a
specific outcome, since that would serve to alter it [paradoxically].

this sounds like "divine timing"... to have the 'revelation' dispelled at precisely
the moment your timer had been set to trigger. to me, it's an indication that
you're not supposed to have that specific information given to you at this time
[you yourself have set that parameter, not some 'powers that be' dynamic].

as someone who dreams prophetically on a regular basis, i would agree with horace on this point. if outside circumstances are interrupting, then you are not ready for the information.

It's funny. Two years ago I dreamt of a hand about to touch me and as soon as I looked up to see who it was, guess what? I woke up! (Have this grand feeling it's the same person). This most recent dream just jolted me up since it involved a deceased loved one, approving of this person who seems to be a friend of mine and who loves me dearly. I have to find out who it is.

Life is funny sometimes. Perhaps you could ask who it is and have it revealed to you.
