I want to give my girlfriend a crystal to help her
My girlfriend has major depression problems, which i want to ease or even end by giving her a crystal. Any suggestions? I was thinking of starting out with a rose quartz necklace since it is the love stone, and it'll help with self love. Problem is, it doesn't seem like the best choice for depression over all. She also had a lot of horrible things happen to her in the past so I'd like a stone that can help her get over it and come to terms with it... Any ideas? Also if possible, I want the stone to give her greater insight into herself. Thanks for all your help!

I suggest Rhodonite. It brings a sense of well-being and... ummm... stability? in one's self. I'd think she'll need a solid footing first, something stable to work from and this might help bring that.

Yea, I just got some rhodonite for myself yesterday, and love it! I'll have to keep it in mind. Any other suggestions?

Hello citrine crystal is supposed to be good for depression, she can carry in her pocket or wear on the solar chakra daily for around 20- 30 mins.

maybe a set of chakra stones to help open her chakras, it may help her gain a sense of balance and stability in life.

I thought about Emerald as I entered this thread. It is good for easing the heart and I sense it would be good to sleep with beneath the pillow.

Sunstone is the stone of light. When I go through 'episodes' I combine sunstone and rose quartz.. Very good emotional stones.. positive and gentle stones, yet effective.

I heard that crystal and other stones are somewhat dangerous.
It might have been "tainted" by the negativeness.
I don't have any stone though.

catatonic, yes stones can be tainted by negitive energy, but you can cleanse them many different ways to keep them healthy.
