Yeah I heard that too. That's why I'm hesitant to put my crystals in the sun. But moonlight works just as well when you need to charge them?

hi MindoverMatter,
I have heard moonlight works just as well. Also some people bury their crystals in the earth to charge them. Just remember where you bury them  and hope the squirrels don't find them and play hide and seek with them.

How about putting the crystals into individual glass cups filled with sea salt water and putting it outside and letting them soak overnight when theres a full moon? Couldn't this cleanse and charge the crystals?
Is there a difference between cleansing and charging?

Cleansing is removing and negative energies, or unwated energies, or (as I feel) old intentions, or just old energy and needs to be refreshed.
Charging is like powering up the crystal's "battery".. Full moons always makes crystals more powerful. |

oh cool fancy meeting you here MindOverMatter!
I just got some stones myself a few days ago and came here to see about identifying them (it was a mix of tumbled stones) and learn more about using them. looks like there's lots of great information and resources in this thread!
