Was it a dream
Hi all,
Last year I lost my dad to cancer, it was a long battle for him.
The day of my dads death I went to bed early that night, emotional drained from the experience of watching a loved one passaway, I dont know if this was a dream or if it was dad trying to help me out,
In my dream I was stood outside of the room after my dad had died, when the door opened to his room and a younger version of my dad walked out came straight up to me and put his arms around me and said I'm alright now champ! Champ was what my dad used to call me! He winked at me turned around and walked off down the long corridor of the home where he died. This image is still clear in mind as if I dreamt it yesterday,
I'm not a big believer in the afterlife but this has made me think. Was it a dream or was it dad telling me hes at peace.

Sorry for your loss. Whether it was a dream or not, what a wonderful thing. A close family member of mine had a similar experience, it's a blessing.

This kind of thing happens to many people after loosing a Loved one.
I also am sorry for your loss.
You ask was it a dream?
Dreams can be a place of communication.
I have had dreams that were more real, vivid, memorable and still stick to me
to this day vividly. Some aspects of those dreams have come to pass in real life.
So please don't discount it.
Take comfort in it.
Just my opinion.

Sorry for your loss but your dad is alright. Its never just a dream. People always leave a part of themselves behind to everyone they know before they die. The piece he left with you knew your needed to know he was ok

Sorry for your loss Leelad82.In my Limited experience dreams are those you forget but the ones you remember for weeks after are messages.
This sounds like it was a message,I'm sure your dad is fine and having a wonderful time.

It was a dream, but meeting with your dad was real.
When we sleep our subconsciousness takes over the body leaving our conscious self to do other things. Sometimes spirits on the other side trigger strong feelings of love during our sleep which manifests into a lucid/powerful dreams.
Your dad wanted you to know that he's okay, and that you are going to be okay too even though it doesn't feel like it right now. It is also him trying to reassure you that you too will meet again, because even if the body (husk) dies our true self never dies. There is life after death.
I wish you all the best

Sounds like a visitation dream to me. I've had them as well, though strangely without any verbal conversations.
