dream about lab mentor

Hi, I had a dream about a guy that mentored me in a lab I used to work in. The dream was that he did some sort of thing that was bad (felt like copying something and claiming it was his work) and as a result some years of work were subtracted and he had to stay for extra years in his PhD program. There was also someone else that also had to do extra years in the dream but I couldn't make out who it was. What could this mean? Thanks :)

I am trying to be as honest as possible with myself. I don't think I was using him to carry me through

i doubt that the dream was specifically concerning your work experiences,
though it could be. my thought was that it was speaking to your experiences
in life in a more general sense.
it seems to me that if you don't recognize having had a "life mentor" to give
you guidance, then whatever accomplishments you've achieved have certainly
been done as a result of your own, authentic efforts.
i imagine your 'higher self' is well pleased.

well, that sorta sounds like you've not done your own work.
you were doing the bidding of someone else, working for their cause
and not advancing your own well-being....

its a complicated question. I'm learning now. I'm undergoing ascension and its changing me.
