I am thankful for 'seperation'

Without the experience of seperation, I have nothing to compare the feeling of unity to.

With the experience of seperation I can also the true depth and blessing of unity and connection.

(Not specifically tf/sm related... but resonates with my prior sm experiences as well as my current non sm experiences none the less).

That is what duality is all about. We need to experince the opposite in order to appreciate what we have. Good for you that now you can enjoy your union with appreciation.

I agree with you 100%. I have moments of frustration and longing, but I have reached a place where I really do understand the blessing and benefit of separation and this time to really grow and develop so that when it does happen (if it is meant to), it can be as beautiful as it was meant to be. I will appreciate it more because of everything we both put in to get to that point.

In all my moments of frustration and longing (which are getting fewer and farther in-between), there is this underlying acknowledgement of the necessity of this time and the beauty in it.
