The point of a relationship..... interesting question and one I've been thinking about too.
Perhaps it is a mechanism to anchor love into this dimension?
A way to experience/share/be it viscerally in a 3D format, in this unique planet earth setting?
There is also much learning, a relationship is a mirror of sorts, where we can see reflected in another our actions and responses and then observe if that is how we want to be, if the result matches our Intention, or if we wish to try a different approach/response next time for a different result. Sort of an emotional laboratory, where we can analyses our thinking/reactions and emotional patterns for clarity and remove and re-pogrom that which doesn't serve us.

Well, anything can be expressed outside of a label, but the way I understood the OP question, it relates to wanting to label a relationship. Otherwise they probably wouldn't have asked the OP if they didn't want to label?
