They are recognized and taken seriously by the people around them.
I'm in education and I see many teenage loves/crushes/drama's In the younger year there is ' a couple' , mind you, 12 years old. These two are to me true examples of " twinflames". They are not IN love, they don't have a 'crush', no they LOVE...they are from the beginning on accepted as " belonging to eachother" . No other boy will interfer with her, no other girl with interfer with him. Even their parents and we as adults accept their bond as 'true'. They don't behave as hankypanky 'I'm so in love with you and I want your attention teenagers. In their silence they're always WITH each other. Even people who don't know the TF concept ' joke'.." How cute,they're like twins" . It's their quiet , graceful way. Sometimes just holding hands, falling both asleep heads together on a bus. Mature never loud, always nice and loving toelach other and to others. Quitely and in silence unhappy when put in different groups. Never asking can I be with him/her? No they just 'suffer'. No drama,they just are .Two beautiful young angles and when you talk to them and look in their eyes younger the same wisdom, a knowing. And it's not frightening it's "light", ' old souls'...I wish I could show them to you...so pure, so quiet, so ONE. It makes me humble.

Wow talk about a blessing to each other and everyone who sees them.
To me that is divine love of the type the world would use to elevate humanity not the dramatic anx filled ones. Thanks for sharing

I think the connection of two spirits which this new agey term points to has been around forever. I think these stages have happened forever. I really do. I think there is a reason why there is much awareness about this phenomenon right now - it's because I think more of us are incarnating and reuniting right now!

Also, the idea of two people being "made for each other" is deliciously enticing when one is deeply lonely. And deep loneliness is pretty much a part of the human condition.

I completely agree this is now turning into "a new obsession", sometimes I have the same feeling. Though, I think we just need answers for things are happening to us and we don't know to explain.

I started to research about this topic after I met my twin flame and after we had a lot of spiritual problems - and it all happened after I met him. And I just couldn't explain what was going on with that crazy/super fast connection we shared, so I was never "looking for it", it happened and I was forced to this new concept. Plus, Twin Flame is all about loving ourselves and others and spreading good energies so what is wrong with this?

Idk... I've had bad breakups, I've been infatuated back in the day, I've been obsessed and angry and crazy atter being rejected... But never with my "tf".

I don't think it matters what the connection is called, but truly selfless love is a different type of love I don't think anyone can understand unless they've experienced it..

That's TF love and it will change your life. It's not really s new age concept, and it doesn't mean everything will be all roses and rainbows all the time.. it just is what it is :)

Plato's Symposium-Aristophanes' supposedly quoted speech about love... the idea of twin flames, split souls or whatever you call this has always been there -Plato tells us it's an old myth this one. I did not know of TFs until about a year ago and my own TF hinted me to the term, but I had actually studied above mentioned speech for school many years ago and thoroughly so. I had thought it was beautifully written and occasionally, I'd think how cool it'd be if it was a true legend this one and my other half was somewhere in this world. But I just thought it was cute until I came across my TF...

In the same sense, whether they are called Indigo children or something else, there have always been people who seem to not entirely 'fit' a purely 'rational' society.

Anyhow, my point is, these are just explanations of certain phenomena and a couple of tools to deal with the experiences that derive from them. How we use these tools and whether the end result to separate ourselves from the rest of the world (usually from a higher position) or whether to work towards unity, that's a long discussion but I do not think we necessarily need to blame the 'theory' for that... there is an underlying system that will adjust, even the most advanced theory and work it around to aim towards the isolation of human experience from the one of others. I am coming to think that only a spiritual journey where we stay as true to ourselves can attack that... and in that sense, I am grateful to TF theory for jumpstarting mine :)
