I'm so excited about my new Yoga course!
Today I started a new Yoga course, with a new instructor all different from the course I've been in til now, more advanced and much more holistic. The only thing that disturbed me was the pain in my hand joints during adho mukha svanasana ("dog"), I guess they are just not used to supporting so much weight and with practice it will go away.
The rest was intense, but great...
I LOVE YOGA!

Hi!
I have weak wrists and I would suggest you not tough it out and stay in a pose with the pain. Come out of the pose if it hurts. You can develop further problems if you don't listen to your body. Don't forget to use your fingers to push up with, not your wrists so much. Also, use your legs (back thighs) to push up and away and that will put some weight off your hands... :)
Good luck!

Thank you, ORCHIDEA. With your tips and much practice I am overcoming the problem with my wrists, yesterday I could hold the pose for six calm breaths without any pain. :)

I am glad to hear that! Don't forget: always push your butt AWAY from your shoulders and put all your weight on your feet THROUGH your legs. That way, your wrists and arms don't have to bear the weight of your whole body. :)
