Perhaps ideas generate beliefs. I am not sure all beliefs generate fear. When I believe I am safe from harm i relax and experience less fear and anxiety. If i am believing something which proves to be wrong, for example, if a predator discovers my whereabouts and starts chasing me, my belief changes to that of not being safe and once again I experience fear. Its interesting ... perhaps beliefs based on actuality generate healthy fear, (needed for survival) whilst belief based on illusion, can prove to be limiting, and may lead to personal/collective dilemma.

In some instances yes, and in other instances they can help us to develop resilience ... unless we believe otherwise of course lol

I feel that we experience uncertainty, and then we develop a belief about it, and then if that belief is less than 'healthy' it can generate fear ... I feel we tend to fabricate our fear ... uncertainty abounds anyway, around every corner and even right in front of our eyes lol

We believed in Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny- and there was no fear to generate these beliefs.   |
