Rulers of the Jungle

This valentines day was also a day that the 'one billion rising - worldwide campaigns to end violence against women' took place- it got me thinking about a bunch of stuff - as you do lol.
Today I have been feeling very in my power and so wrote this...

King lion and
Queen lioness
Rulers of their pride
Resilient and wise-
Proud, radiant and wild-
Both balanced in their
Commanding presence
Both equals in bravery and prowess-
Both equals in their will and strength.

King lion and
Queen lioness-
Guardians of their pride
Courageous and vibrant.
The strength of their emancipated spirits-
Raw and honest
Yet pure and refined.

King lion and
Queen lioness
Resting in the sun-
Soaking up loves radiance-
Their lion hearts are tough
Yet wide open and pouring out
Infinite love.

King and Queen
Lionheart
Level out the hunting fields and
Maintain the balance of the jungle-
Masters of their reign-
Explorers in many planes.

King and Queen lionheart-
Noble and wild and free-

Through the energy of the
Lion and Lioness
I am initiated into my strength-
I discover the wholeness of my soul-
And the magic of my world-
Embracing my lionheart
I uncover my tenacity
And become a master of my reign.

Somehow, this poem reminds me of Disney's ' The Lion King'.
Very nice!

I adore the Lion King Nada it was the first movie I saw as a kid, it must have made pretty big impression on me.
