Psychometry

This is the ability to sense the energy within an object. I just learned this term two seconds ago ;)

Anywho, I've been doing a lot of observing lately. I observe the world around me, how I'm relating to it, what I sense, etc. I've discovered that I am starting to pick up on the energies in objects (which is fascinating, because I work in a donation center which is full of people's old belongings and this entertains me all day). I find myself picking up objects, turning them over in my hands and feeling their pasts. Maybe I even feel the previous owner's emotions as well. I am discovering a new way to "see" the world - this new sense is starting to open up for me. I am very curious and excited to see where this leads me and what opportunities await.

Does anyone else experiment with psychometry or observe the unseen energies around them?

That very interesting! We have had many discussions on the forum about energy being attached to objects in the medium ship area. Perhaps, more in a haunted manner.

I also have purchased a book called, "the healing energy of your hands" by Michael Bradford. It shows you techniques on how to use your hands to heal people using energy. It's pretty neat. I practice on my kids when they get hurts, however, anything "mommy" does works It would be nice to practice on others.

Interesting experiences gravitysrainbow. I have tried holding objects from the past, belonging to relatives and I don't feel any energy. There must be something else one has to do to connect and feel this energy ?

I've been interested in psychometry for a while. I envy that you have all these "objects" around you to practice on. Of course, it would also be nice to verify what you get from them! Don't guess you can do that, but just feeling the feelings and experiencing the images is enough training.

I found a mortar (mortar & pestle) which I felt was from the indigenous who lived on this island for 7000+ years. So I did some experiments in psychometry. I couldn't get anything from just handling it, but when I asked for feedback when I went to sleep, I did get some interesting results.

Although I think it was more getting history from a particular area rather than the object, but I'm not sure of that.

I had to have friends of mine give me objects that they knew the provenance of and then I tried to read them. Need some practice on that!

I can also feel the emotions of the person who had the object. I have not tried to get images yet but I should try it one day. Its very interesting to pick up things on old photos too.
