Silent awareness, its here and now. One can choose it at any time.

In the nature of our unique ways of being, relating and understanding, sometimes being aware of others and knowing how to respond is not what I get from it, but more what am I listening too, to understand. My awareness considers a whole host of relating and needs in others, not just what I want from them.

I call this silent awareness that listens deeper to more than itself. If your open and aware of the subtle silent spaces, they too are inclusive in the whole relating space. So there is much to listen too, even if you believe that speaking up and out is necessary ...that is only about yourself and your own need.

If people keep their stuff to themselves -- "I don't agree. This is how I see it..." -- I can listen to their opinion all day and enjoy and even get something out of it because they're NOT PUTTING THEIR STUFF ON ME.

Clairsentience!

So, it just happened I left my laptop upstairs to go downstairs to make a cup of tea..

It was totally dark downstairs, and the downstairs light switch is downstairs..it is 9pm

Half way down the stairs...an orb!!! I haven't seen one in months!

This orb was about the size of a tennis ball and a beautiful reddish orange glow, like pink and hot orange mixed together and it was shining very brightly....I've never seen one that colour before..

It hung around for about 3-5 seconds before vanishing through a step..

I got the message; "we're here...still waiting...waiting...talk to us...it's been six months..."

I sorta gave all that up anyway because it was too confusing at a time when I didn't want to be confused...I still don't know if I wanna go back there. It took a while to calm things down that end, last time I decided to practice my mediumship skills...

Just j/k about not spiritual. Simple basic practical open-communication stuff is as spiritual as Jesus and Buddha meeting up in a whole foods smoothie bar.

I'm talking more about why the 'silent generation' is called the 'silent generation'.

People will become so mentally divorced from each other that communication between two people won't be possible.

"And in the naked light I saw
Ten thousand people, maybe more
People talking without speaking,
People hearing without listening,
People writing songs that voices never shared
And no one dared
Disturb the sound of silence" - Simon and Garfunkel

ah I see.

I am now ok with the silence. It speaks loud enough in me that is at peace with itself in this way.

I am ok with talking too. For me the balance is important. But I prefer silence more often than not.

Well spirit certainly opened that pocket up in me to communicate with myself and know that everything I need is within me when the external world doesn't complete that space in me as I believe it should be. So moving closer to myself I was able to become ok being with myself talking to myself, not needing anyone else. An important part of becoming ok with silence for real..My spirit supports me when the world doesn't...

Simple basic practical open-communication stuff. Not spiritual.
That is a very good point, even if it goes as far as saying "have you tried opening your eyes/heart/mind? instead of telling you.

There are times to talk, times to listen, times to be alone and talk and express yourself deeper that others don't need to hear. Times to just be the observer, times to be the silent awareness, times to be the support... So expression takes on many forms of listening in this way. Learning all ways opens deeper awareness of others through that listening space.
