how about attracts out minds to look at potential answers to how we may increase our self worth?

Attract answers from others which allow us to let go of pain?

Allows us to look at ourselves during the thinking process ie become more mindfull?

agree or dissagree & why? .......

There are as many reasons why someone would want to "be spiritual" or develop their spirituality as there are members on this forum.

In a sentence, I want to find out who I should have been all along and to become that by the end of my days.

I've been through the spectrum of spirituality, including ignoring it entirely. I've learned that I really dislike most organized religions, so I moved on to doing things my own way, and I was very content. I drifted off into atheism and zero spirituality and spent a number of years in the worst misery I've known. So I've started heading back to doing things my way. Why?

Simply put? It makes me feel whole. There has always been something missing when I tried to force myself to believe what others said was spirituality and when I denied it entirely. Spirituality is what makes me feel connected to everything, and that makes me happy.

Hi Lozenge Squeezer,

'Understanding' (in the mind) per se isn't the whole story, but it can be a precursor or inspiration for becoming, a deliberate acceleration of evolutionary possibilities inherent in the nature, which means that the entire life may be integrally transformed by the transcending of a conditional ignorance.

Spirituality hasn't improved my life......I was born spiritual because Im a spiritual being......becoming aware of my spiritual nature as opened me up to all possibilities....understanding that everything is connected to Source, that I am always learning new things and ways to be......the limitlessness of God.....

Just as nourishing the roots results in the full-fledged growth of a plant, similarly nourishing man's spiritual roots enables him to reap fruits in all other areas of life and live a well-balanced life.

The enlightened sage Sri Sri Ravi Shankar says, "Like a flower bud, human life has the potential to blossom fully. Blossoming of human potential to fullness is yoga.Yogi is fully blossomed human potential."

As per Nisargadatta Maharaj, "Self-awareness is yoga."

By being constantly self-aware and mindful, one ensures that life is fully blossomed in all aspects, well-balanced and not lopsided or imbalanced.

The ego is that which results in lack of harmony, imbalance and lopsidedness, which results in retardation of the human personality, and consequently an imbalanced and sick society.
