Hi Shareunity,
I don't mean to "advertise" but crystal-cure.com is a wonderful site to purchase gemstomes/crystals. The book the Crystal Bible by Judy hall is also good, for beginners. :)

Yes the Crystal Bible is the best book I have come to find for general knowledge.
