For those who get no love from others, I guess they have to learn to love themselves. Thinking of a child I know who got no love growing up. He's in kindergarten now and having a hard time. Lashing out at everybody. I wonder what is God's plan for him. His teacher called the police on him yesterday. He was hitting her and throwing chairs at other kids. I wish I knew what he experienced in his first 5 years that made him like this. I was thinking he may have Reactive Attachment Disorder or RAD

Its not fear mongering, its reality. Jesus is Gods image--Jesus will rule with an iron rod( Rev 12:5)--just as his Father does.
Psalm 111:10--The FEAR of YHWH(Jehovah) is the beginning of wisdom. They murdered Jesus and his followers back then for saying truth, they wanted their ears tickled to. Probably why Jesus said his followers and religion would be hated, because they hated him first.
God refines one with fire. Those who love God, accept that. Its obviously needed because satan is powerful and 99% are mislead. One does not want to be in that number. God or his son are not playing games. God showed in Noahs day how he felt about mortals sinning. Jesus is his image, Jesus compared these last days to Noahs day. Quite the same results will occur at Armageddon by Jesus' hand--99% are going to be wiped off of Gods earth-Rev 16, Rev 19 is the result. So which do you choose--ear tickling or being refined with fire?

I can understand where Honza is coming from tho. When you look at all the brutality in this world you DO wonder where God is.
Yeah I know we are given free will but it still begs the question tho.

I wonder how many so called Christian Denominations would survive without using unhealthy 'FEAR' in their teachings. |

It's human to need to make sense of what's happening, to you, to others, especially when bad things happen. Unfortunately people don't know how to do that, and draw unhelpful conclusions.
I believe that the best way is to leave aside all your beliefs and expectations, and tap into your inner guidance. You have to leave aside both your conscious beliefs (your assumptions), and your unconscious beliefs (what you think of being truths).
