Yeah I don't think spiritual gifts make a person special any more than mathematical gifts make one special, it's just different abilities that happen to be predominant in a person innately or developed later in life by desire or opened up later in life (but I say this falls under innate ability).
For me I've actually known this stuff all my life but didn't put a lot of attention to it mainly because I didn't know what it was. Then life sent me down a road where I felt inclined to do my first PLR. This opened something in me and completely changed the course my life was on.
It wasn't a fun beginning by any means, a very terrifying one, but it has been overall rewarding because I feel like I've finally answered a call I've heard all my life but didn't pay attention to.
