When you remember bad things and your aversion toward them makes you not want to live again, that's a reactive impulsion rather than a free choice, so I think the right track is to make peace with the whole of the past so that you're free.

That is very true Gem and thanks for the wisdom there. I do resist aspects of my past (not all) and wish they had been different. On some level I do accept that it happened for a reason and it couldn't have been very different, so I need emotional healing to that place.

Hi Hemera,

I strongly believe that we choose whether to come back or not, I believe we have a choice and I believe we can choose from now... not just when we will be in the afterlife or any intermediate state.

You can state your intent and perhaps a voice of your own totality may surface... Usually our natural -as it should have been- voice is too much repressed but it's us, or it could be us as we will be after the completion of this life...

That's my belief.

I know about EFT yes, and have seen it being carried out on someone very successfully many years ago. I struggle with it for health reasons (repetitive movements such as those aren't easy). And in all honesty I feel I've come to terms with the past, I just sometimes re-visit thoughts like 'why me' and I feel sad.

The "You" here is not the same as the "You" there, what you want or do not want here can be of no importance for the "You" there. The only way for the "you" here to have an impact is to bring the "you" here at that "level" of consciousness, to alter the "you" there, to awaken.

And given that there are many layers, there are many "you" there, in fact there are many "you" here for there's no fixed "you" in stone.... Our true nature is hidden, like for example some people die and go to some astral cities, others go straight to God, others talk about many dimensions, many universes, and so on and so forth.

You here may say "I do not want to come back" and once you get there you may be on the first train back, in fact, this world will suddenly lose all its weight, like a walk in the park, like it only lasts one moment and you are back, a lifetime here is just a moment there.

If you manage to expand your consciousness then you will bring "yourself" there and then sky is the limit.


All I say here is based on many many moments of crossing over.

Kind of. Yes. My personal belief is that we aren't forced to reincarnate anyplace if we aren't ready. I sometimes wonder if we might have hundreds of years between incarnations. I certainly would like at least a few decades to reflect on what has happened to me thus far. I sort of expect the ecosystem on this planet to be uninhabitable in a few hundred years and we'll be incarnating on other worlds. So if that's the case, you won't be "coming back here." (This is my first post in Spiritual Forums so Hello, everyone.)
