Ancient History of Great Britain
BBC is re-running the series fronted by Neil Oliver on BBC 2 - excellent series !
I have just been watching last night's opening episode on BBC i-Player. It has come as far as the Mesolithic so far - modern man in Britain 35000 years ago.
Anyway, I have had a feeling about Neil Oliver for a while - now pretty certain. I have carefully listened to the words he uses and they could have been written by me. He talks about man's relationship with the land. He spent 24 hours living the mesolithic life style and he describes "the veil" being pulled apart to give an insight into the life of "the ancestors". He even talks about rituals being carried out in North Yorkshire [ my patch ] wearing an antler skull head dress - been there, done that !
Anyway, UK people - watch it ! next episode Monday 7 pm BBC 2 - the Neolithic.

Mattie, it can be bought on a BBC DVD. Amazon has it. Got the name slightly wrong. Should be A History of Ancient Britain
