Book: Bible New testament.

Movie: I agree that The Shack was a very good movie.

Capturing the Christian Spirit: I think Prayer and the Holy Spirit
best deliver the Spirit of Christ to each individual Best, through experience
since the Holy Spirit is the Best teacher.

Well, yes it make me cry. I found the message profound though. Unconditional love. In part, it changed my mind about the death penalty. Films like the Green Mile and Shawshank Redemption even though I think they're great, drain me, I have to be in the right mood to watch them. But horror films I don't watch, I find them more harrowing. Are you ok with horror films? I tell you what one of the most harrowing films I've seen is The Passion of the Christ. The cruelty. I'll not watch it again.

You have just reminded me of one of my favourite films (which I forgot about since I saw it years ago).

The Last Temptation Of Christ by Martin Scorsese. (It is a book too). A great film.

I've not seen it. Is that not harrowing then?

Sort of. But not in a gratuitous manner. It is more contemplative and studious.

Footprints, the path of your life. Good documentuary on Netflix it's about 10 men taking a 500+ mile journey to see some kind of Christan shrine. Typically not into that kind of movie but it was good.

the Movies which hit me the hardest ,were the Passion of Christ, and the ten Commandments. even though I knew some of what both films showed, wasn't accurate. still it gave me some what a visual glimpse of their situations.

When still a teenager I read ,"Tortured for Christ".
It was devastating to me.
