Does it matter… who I am

May be I am … what I’m meant to be
Would it matter at all … if I was no more
Would life be any different … were I to live no more
Would it be the same … were I to be gone
Would it matter at all … if I’d not come along
Would you care for a moment … if I was not by your side
Would you care for how long … were I to die
Would you care for a second … what I’d done
Would you care a life time … where I’d gone
Does anything in life … matter at all
Is my life just a memory … of all that I’d done
Is living a life … just all that it IS
Or is it just living … how I believe it IS
So many a questions … the answers I’ve not
So many a feelings … That don’t matter at all
So many people … Their lives seem the same
So many a thoughts … it’s driving me insane
I may not be … what I believe I am
I may not be … what I am
I guess I would be … but a memory in time
In your heart & mind … after I’m gone
