What will it take for the average person to awaken?

Hi,

I was wondering if you have any thoughts on what will it take for the average person to know themselves as a non-physical being and when you look into the future, do you envisage the human race at this point?

For me personally, and I am sure many of you can relate, when I am around a lot of spiritually unconsciousness people at times i can become intensely present and notice how people communicate in a fashion that seems like they have the shutters closed on their mind, how they shut themselves off from the Source accidentally.

So what to you think will be the catalyst for a radical acceptance of the underlying nature of our universe?

Thanks for sharing your thoughts,

Josh

When one reality is shattered a new one must be considered. The only way I have found to force spirituality on a person is to shatter their perception of reality... and then if they are willing to move forwards they will accept the truth. If they are unwilling they will retreat into the lies they have built.

Note that this process should not be attempted as it can have a severe negative impact on a person's life if not done properly.

Average = shut off from the source?

I would say it will take them as long as they want it to, if at all,,,

Surely everyone's acceptance of anything within this world is personal to them, isn't it?

What does it take for a non-average person to just live their own lives and concentrate on their own path?

Love and hugs

Jo

i think knowing you are a spiritual being and becoming the spiritual being being are two different things.

When the fact I was a spiritual being sunk, just reading your question now made me realise, nothing has changed. Apart from now knowing it, I have not changed in how I live my life or how I live my life. Life goes on....

Now to 'be' in the spiritual part of self, no idea lol

I will agree with Athymari here. Knowing is not experiencing, I know myself to be that, yet I am far from the experience.

The problem is, not everybody believes, or has even heard of "the source". Not everybody sees God as the is and isn't, the all of everything, some believe in their respective religion's view of God, or their own, based on their religion. Some don't believe there is a God.

Nothing really. More people are starting to learn of this concept, but some of those that have heard do not agree. It's a decision I think. It just so happened that a lot of people find sense in this. I don't really think God is bothered by how we see him.

For example, no amount of explanation nor research will convince an Atheist that God is real.

Only they can change their minds and will it to believe. No amount of research and scientific evidence will ever convince a believer that there is no God. They alone have the power over their own minds, theirs is the decision on whether to accept or not.
