The Atlas of Meditation

I love this Meditation, because I cannot stand just sitting and clearing my mind, it is way too active for that. As I have been seeing a lot of frustrated people here who seem to have the same problem, here is something I use regularly to clear my head and simplify things (although nothing beats a good run or lifting session, imho)

The Atlas Meditation is great, because its dynamic (and great for Mars in Virgo stress). From a standing position, you visualize holding up something heavy (like the sky). Put all of your frustrations, fears, etc. on this heavy thing, and let it bring you to your knees, struggling to hold it. Hold that position while you feel the anger and frustration at the heavy thing, because how dare it bring YOU down? Let it boil inside, and own it, as valid and real. Use the anger to push back, and force the heaviness up, freeing yourself. Keep going, using every muscle in your body. Then, when you hit the top, release it from yourself, and send it away. Ride the endorphin rush, and go back into your day.

It is by far my favorite meditation/visualization/asana.
