Finding total peace in a place you don't want to
I'm living in a place that I don't want to be, but I have to. for now. I'm moving in September.
BUT in the mean time, I'm stuck here.
Sure, I happy most of the time, that's just because I'm a positive guy, but I'm not happy here / it's hard to find peace of mind here.
Any suggestions?

what is it exactly that you don't like? people near you? size of the place? location? it would help to know 'why' you're not happy.

it's the location and size and the people actually ha ha. Very rural with many conservative, gun totin', rebel flag wavin', country folk, dirt roads, Michiganville. I grew up here, but I've spent the past 3 years in California (Northern and Southern) and ALL my fellow bohemian freak friends are there.
But my family is trying to sell our farm and asked me to stay and help and in Sept. I can head back west.
I don't want to knock it down too much. I love my farm, it is gorgeous there, and there is some beautiful areas around, and it's pretty peaceful but it's absolutely stagnant here.
I've found some spots that can clear my mind but I lose it pretty much as soon as I leave my farm.
It doesn't all that bad from me describing it, but my mind is restless and I can't let it run here.

well, as i used to tell my kids.........don't dwell.
just concentrate on the good things you've described. enjoy nature-perhaps you are there for a reason. don't underestimate the universe. :)
and when you go to town, make sure you wear your baseball cap and a confederate flag t-shirt. lol
3 more months............you can do it!

What elisi said.
You say things are stagnant so sounds like you're bored more than anything. And if you're bored then you must not have much to do. And if you have nothing to do, why are you even there? What are you helping your family with, what are you actually doing?
