I actually registered for this forum a few days ago because I was looking for advice re: my 10-yr-old niece who lives in a very toxic environment & MAY have been experiencing inappropriate attention from her mother's boyfriend. Her father has spent months & basically all his money in court trying to get custody, but was unsuccessful.

As her aunt I still get to buy her Christmas & birthday presents. The custody issue has of course made the situation difficult, but I was thinking I could buy her some pretty crystal she could keep in her room? I can't be obvious about my concern so it has to be something pretty that her mom will let her keep & big enough that she, a 10-yr-old, won't lose it.

I've been to countless "crystal healing" websites & I have come away disenchanted because they all either say completely different things or they are obviously cut & pasted from other websites. I also bought the Robert Simmons book. But I'm hoping to connect with a community of real people who can give me real ideas or advice.

I'm a sensitive or empath or whatever (that's what I've been told lol) but I'm really just here for help with Christmas shopping. I just ordered her a Rubellite heart that she can maybe use as a paperweight on her desk? I know a pretty rock won't fix her problems, but if I'm going to get her a present, IMO the thing she needs the most is help with guilt & shame & fear. I really want to help her with that & the limit of my interaction with her is a Christmas present.

Ellemental, I would like to say welcome to you here, But i am actually very sad after reading your niece story. Ask her mom not to comprimise on her brought up. Such kind of things leave very bad impact on kids mind's. I am so sorry for the little girl.
