When I was in hospital with a broken leg, the man in the bed next to me said he was Napoleon. He must have had a very bad memory, because he couldn't recall the name of his horse at Waterloo; which was strange, because every other man on the ward could.

I was a few different people. I recall two handfuls at the moment. Know the names of one handful.

It might not be so easy to leave past lives behind us Serrao, if our ancestors memories are in our DNA.

To me, leaving the past behind means not dwelling on it. Accepting what has happened, learning from it, and moving on. I think this is less a matter of DNA and more a matter of taking control of one's mind.

I base my knowledge on experience (empiricism) I have experienced these lives, not just witnessed them. I believe that in order to learn from an experience (past life in this case) it is important to experience and observe what you are able to, then let it go. Sometimes that would mean "dwelling on it" for a time.
This to me is taking control of one's mind. This is getting to know thyself.

One only needs to contemplate a past event for as long as it takes learning and insight to be gained. In most cases, this is usually a matter of moments. My statement "not dwelling on the past" means not holding the past in one's mind when it is not necessary or beneficial.

I didn't know memories were stored in DNA too.
Living beings are truely complex.
Where can this information be found (on the internet)?

There's lots of info: Serrao, just google. I have read lots of different studies, really interesting subject but it does explain some of these memories/phobias etc: Look for ' Genetic Memories '
