It's a shifting balance in terms of perception. Spiritually speaking we've drifted into thinking that the soul has little to do with the body. So we talk, think and project about soul stuff and reduce the importance of our physical experience. There's even a thread about becoming super human when we have such little understanding of what it is to simply be human as a baseline experience.
We need to address the entire spectrum of what's occurring within us and around us. It's instructive to understand how our minds were conditioned since birth. It's instructive to understand how our lifestyle habits affect the clarity of our minds ability to function as a healthy and cleanly derived experience. It's not one over the other, it's about a top to bottom integration of both phyical and perceptual. The emphasis has been placed far to intensely on the "idea" of what things "may" be and not nearly enough on what's actually occurring, in a physical way.
From moment to moment we are physically engaged, it would behoove us to align wisely with the physical structure of this experience to better discern where our perceptual influences are being authored.
