Love Krishnamurti, but must say that I don't see it in the same way as this particular quote.

I too much believe that we choose before being born what will be the major challenges and circumstances of our lives. The key was something we may have had access to before we were born - and so we chose then what would be behind the door - but when we were born, we left the key behind with our guides so we could learn from our challenges.
