WHAT SHOULD BE IN THE BIBLE?
In this day and age, it seems that many are not happy with what is in the Bible.
The purpose of this thread is to see what books, verses, themes and concepts should be removed or possibily better yet, what should remain. There is also other possibilities such as, should the Bible be 'tossed' and new scriptures be written.
There is also 'room' for what other things should be included in the new 'Bible'.
Let's see if we can have fun!

having killed 200 Philistines.
I could get by without the smashing babies on rocks, I think in Psalm 138.

I would add the Gospel of Thomas, as I find it to be one of the highest teachings in the tradition.
I would get rid of the book of Revelation, as it's too often misinterpreted to be an external future event.

There are just too many contradictions in the Bible to accept as “the word of God” .

I think the bible should be treated as a religious historical book, so I don't think people should rule things out because they may seem offensive today. It's fine if you wanna cancel this or that but you can't force that upon everyone. Of course, there are many translations and it's an 'ongoing pursuit' but that should come with the disclaimer ''We removed things because we didn't like it!''

I have great respect for the bible but as you all know I'd write my own version !!
( who actually wrote the bible ?)
