I've had various sensations of the general sort we're discussing here for about 10 years, maybe a little longer. I gave a minimal description of how the process has been affecting me, physically, in that other thread. Sensations in my spine - mainly a sense of fullness and sometimes discomfort in the medulla (brain stem) area during the night, sometimes followed by a stiff neck and soreness of the muscles of my neck (to either side of the midline next morning), sometimes discomfort across my back above the hips, un-painful sensations along lateral meridians, occasional muscle twitches. When the process began, my body simply heated up during the night. I got, and still get, buzzing sensations in my hands and feet, but these aren't unpleasant.
While all these have been facts of my life, I have to say that my life has been improving in numerous ways during these years. My health and resistance to colds and flu has increased.
I've always known that in a typical day most varieties of the unpleasant sensations would subside after I'd been up and around in the morning for an hour or so. When I've gone through an intense few days with these, I've learned to cut back on my spiritual practices. Some people say that certain grounding practices help them with these symptoms, but I've never found any substantial effect with any of these practices. There are a couple of over-the-counter medicines I've used to reduce discomforts
when I've needed to, but I feel less need for them than used to.
