I would expand this in that it informs everyone. In this way we can all be heroes. We are learning.....

My Dad was called a Hero by big burly Firemen I was about to be Born the midwife was with my mother to deliver me,
I had an older brother and sister,
my brother was two weeks away from his fifth Birthday when my dad ran in the Room to tell my mother that my brother had just drowned.
the shock stopped her contractions and I nearly died.
The River was not far from the house he was with a few of his friends the river was High because of the snow melting and rain, the firemen put a rope around themselves to hold them steady.
My dad walked into the river and picked my brother up. the firemen couldn't believe that anyone could walk into the river without getting carried away.
My friends dad was looking after him but he slipped and fell.
my dad never got over it
Namaste

Aww sooooo sad NativeS. What a dreadful situation for your dad to go thru. I don’t think anyone would be able to get over that kinda thing.
Now THATS what I call a real hero!
Thank God you didn’t die because we would never have had your wise and wonderful comments to enjoy.
