I cannot share this sorry. Sharing it may be harmful to others. Compared to God we are all unskillful. That's for sure. For example, we get angry, we steal (I did that when I was a kid, I am so sorry), we fail our loved ones, etc.

My unskillfulness is a fact. BTW, compared to God we are all unskillful.

We need to love ourselves as we are. I do this by realizing that "I am new (novice)" and this way I forgive and self-love my unskillfulness.

Green1,

Basically I view pride and humility as being polar opposites. Pride is the voice of the ego…..”look how great I am”. The humble person achieving the same thing says “I have many people to thank for making this happen”

Who will offer help to the proud ? It will never be acknowledged as being of value. On the other hand the humble will become a target for love.

I feel strongly about this because of my stupid friends and their concepts.

Hi green1
Well, I sat with a Christian friend while he said he was a ''filthy rag'*. I said, "Oh, that's too bad Steve, because
I'm the daughter of a King that created the Universe, so I'm a princess loved and adored beyond my own belief!"
Another Catholic, attorney friend stood in his kitchen pouring our coffee, declaring, "I'm such a worm!!!". (ref Psalms)

I am amazed by people's concepts of humility and lack of worth.

I am SO worthy - because I am my Father's daughter - with all my ignorance and mistakes.
Just as I love my puppy that jumps on me all covered in mud...she can do no wrong in my eyes...I see only cuteness, innocence and clumsiness.

Anyone who has loved - loves even through all the mistakes even crimes our loved one has committed and is in jail!
Just think how our Heavenly Father loves us.

I love myself because my Creator/God adores me, sweaty and covered in paint. (And have been bathed in that Divine Love, so
I know there is a God, that presents Himself to me as my Father.)

I only really love my idiot self, because I know to not love myself, would not make my Father happy.
Have you ever tried to pet a scared horse or dog - it's awful. I would never do that to my Father.

My entire self stands like a 2yr old covered in a mess with my arms raised for Him to pick me up and toss me in the air!

I was made by a Perfectionist - I smile that as I lay on the ground fallen from a ladder - that I can entertain Him.

* --we are unclean things and our righteousness like filthy rags, in Isaiah - paraphrased

And I agree with Unseeking!!

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

Thanks MH but I don't even agree with your view of God. In my view, God is my Higher Self, the real me. And it is not a king, it is something different. As I experienced it God itself is humble and loves me despite me being skillful and unworthy. Why am I unworthy? My thoughts are unworthy but my health is worthy and God loves me profoundly.

Thanks.

This is OK. But how do you view someone harming another? He/she is not unskillful?

This doesn't answer my question. Take for example a person who is harmful to another. He/she is therefore unskillful. Is he/she not?
