Have you been blessed by God?

If the criteria for getting into heaven was that someone said "God bless you" in your life, where would you go when you die? The only people that have ever said it to me were homeless people, so I'd be saved from an eternity of suffering by a handful of homeless people. They've got nothing to give in return so they say "God bless you". Its a god damn (or bless) inspiration. They should make a film about this, I bet homeless people all over the world would find themselves having better days all of a sudden. Even if they're giving them money for the wrong reasons (a subconscious motivation based on an expectation of getting something in return), the result is the same. Either that or people would be sneezing a lot more often.

I've gotten a lot of "God bless you". Sometimes I even say it to myself. And I love saying it to other people.

Frog-you made me laugh today-thank-you!! The part where you were talking about the only people who ever said that to you were homeless people. I, too once experienced a homeless person saying that to me and it was huge-it hit me straight in the heart. I'll take a God Bless you every time-its a heartfelt expression of gratitude

'Have you been blessed by God?'

We all have! (- though few people know it.) And the greater the challenge, the greater the blessing.

I'm sure a lot of people will take this seriously...

We are all homeless. This thing we live in isn't our home. This moment of being breathed is my home. Thinner than a cardboard box.

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

I actually think is very annoying when someone tells me God bless you. I respect people that say it, but I don't say it. Just for the fact that if I get blessed is cause God wants to bless me not cause someone just says God bless you. I think you get bless by God thru the actions that you do and how good you are at following God's commandments and obviously how good of a person you are. If you help a homeless person, automatically you will be blessed by God no matter how that homeless person uses that money for, is the action that you are taking for helping someone that you don't know. When a homeless person uses that phrase is cause is the only thing they have to offer. If they really meant it that's good, but when you say it over and over and over again it gets to a point that it has no meaning. I don't say God bless you to people cause I figure if I want God to bless someone I pray about it for God to send blessings to that person (more meaningful). I'm Christian and I love God and I do believe that you go to a good place (heaven) cause of the good deeds that you do, not cause someone tells you God Bless you.
