The teachers are coming!

Right after the snake dream I had this one that left me with tears of happiness:

It’s summer. I’m a student and it’s summer holidays. I'm at some kind of school festival or fair for all the students. I’m older than the other students and don’t really fit in. There are three decorative statues or artificial trees or something like that. There are heaps of needles lying underneath and we are supposed to throw the needles at the statues, it’s some kind of fun game. I participate, and other students (who are kids and teenagers) throw needles at me too, in a playful way. They stick to my clothes and don’t hurt. I don’t throw needles at them though, I only throw them at the statues/trees.

Then all the teachers are coming. It’s an anticipated, happy moment. I can see them through a glass door coming up the stairs. Someone holds the glass door open and they come in one by one and go into a room on the left of the statues. There are about nine or ten teachers. As I look at them I recognize them all and see that they have aged since I last saw them. One stops and smiles at me, he says he’s really happy to see me, and he can’t believe it’s already been three weeks tomorrow that he gave us our grades. I’m still watching the stairs, waiting for my favourite teacher to come up. He has not come yet.

I suspect this dream is possibly a play on not taking the needles or little jabs others throw at you personal. Learn to laugh and see life as more of a game than something to be done in a serious way. Even when you are trying to break down the rigid stuck thinking in your life (statue). The less personal we take things the less the things in life that happen hurt us. You may be starting to get this so the teachers are coming back to move onto the next lesson.

Yes I also thought of the term "needling someone" yesterday. I think recently things have annoyed me less than they used to, so maybe I'm starting to learn that lesson.
As I mentioned before somewhere, I'm an expat here where I live, and the culture is very different from what I learned when young. Things people say and do here often seem very rude and wrong to me and I struggled with that for many years.
Imagine living in a community where everyone is totally different from you, does things in a different way, says things that feel rude to you, on a daily basis .... it's not easy to not feel affected.
But the dream had a very positive feel to it, so I'm optimistic
