Heart chakra stones and palpitations
I have a few pink stone pendants, zircon and tourmaline, and when I have worn them recently I've been getting palpitations. Is this something to do with the heart chakra, like I have too much or too little?

In my opinion, You may be using the incorrect stones for the hearth chakra region. Typically, the Rose Quarts is best suited for this. yet even I have said that any stone can benefit the wearer in different ways.. But it's apparent that the two stones you've selected are not very beneficial to you at this point. if the Rose Quartz does not benefit you, you will need to seek a new and alternate stone or stones.

Could there be a physiological cause? Like thyroid levels that need to be checked.
Sometimes a high vibration crystal or person can cause palpitation. I agree with stone whisper. You should be comfortable with the stone you wear; else come back to them some time later. Rose quartz and amethyst usually suit but exceptions are there.

My suggestion would be: not to ware any crystals you do now.
And check your thyroid level.
Try Rose Quartz first.
If you've been still getting heart palpitations, I would try Dumortierite. It's not a heart chakra crystal, but it's excellent for treating any kind of over-stimulation and disorganization.
