Do you truly love yourself?
How much? A ton, 5 lbs, 20 stone?
Occasionally when taking my daily speed walk around the local park-lake,
I visualize meeting myself in passing... and send myself love, as I might someone else.
Of course I'm looking inside, rather than the stuff we don't specially care for,
such as the torn levi jacket, the windblown sparse hair, or the nearly empty wallet.
And I like what i see. What my heart sees. As it doesn't notice imperfections.
It's really important to appreciate yourself, as often the world is too preoccupied to notice.
Or only sees the exterior.

My first true love is my SELF, my true SELF, everything after that is just the cream on top.

I've recently come out of a life of providing for others. The trap with that is that you can easily put the wellbeing of them ahead of your own and I was guilty of that. I still provide but at a distance, so I am viewing myself less and less as a beast of burden and more like my main charge.
I am allowing this new found friendship to blossom of it's own accord, but yeah it's happening.

Thanx
Our soul certainly deserves love and attention.
Just as we nurture a garden.
Our soul deserves our recognition....(that's the word, yes)

Nicely said, Henri.
Including ourselves - each and every bit - in love often seems to come last on our list, yet so important.

I am in harmony with myself and really like the person I have gradually become....not complacent though, i.e. always room for improvement. (Humility is underrated but spiritually important I feel).

This topic was in one of my conversations earlier today.
Self love, as I see it, is when we can appreciate that All That We Are(especially our so called imperfections) as a perfect reflection of unconditional love.
Our human bias is about Either/Or with judgements about Good, Better, and Best. Our spiritual awareness has no bias with Both/And leading to infinite potentials. It loves what we see as flaws because it can appreciate the full range of divine expression.
These are my thoughts about Self Love.
