Mental Health Disorders.
What happens to people who have mental health disorders in the afterlife.
I ask since, mental health affects our mind and spirit.
Some people say that some mental health disorders are spiritual in origin.
It would be very cruel if this burden is carried over.
What are your thoughts?

Some say mental health disorders are afflicted upon us only on the earth plane.

No, it doesn't carry over into the spirit realm. Mental health is a byproduct of the physical plane. When you transition, you will see in your review why you had issues and it will help you understand how it happened, so you can prevent or recognize it if it happens again.

Dr Bruce Greyson has researched a lot of NDE cases regarding people with severe dementia and other mental health issues, he found that just before these people died they became very lucid and clear, they recognised there family again and could talk coherently...this was around an hour before they passed away.
it does seem to point an uncoupling of the mind from severe dementia and other psychological limitations that the illness imposed on it while they were bound physically to this life, it also implies from those studies that the mind is not generated or emerges from the brain...interesting stuff!

Mental health disorders manifest only in the physical body, in the etheric and such bodies they (most likely) don't exist. (It should be possible, I think, that some issues could exist in etheric and such bodies, but very unlikely.)
Mental disorders have to do with the brain and its neural configurations that cannot function properly due nutrient-vitamin-mineral deficiencies, due to toxins of various kinds, due to energetic imbalances or blocks, due to some parasitic organisms, environmental factors, EM radiation, etc.
Mental disorders are a physical body health concern, which don't actually have complex causes. And are actually quite easy to cure. Simply have to know what the physical body needs so it could function correctly, and have to consider that healing takes some time. Though some issues could be "permanent". Most issues could be cured easily.
Nerves need nutrients to do their job. If they lack them then they can't do their job or do it very poorly. In lack of nutrients the body has to prioritize and choose what is more important.
edit: Brain is the interface between higher bodies and physical body-physical world. The brain translates higher "commands" into words, behavior, actions, etc.

Your mental health is usually greatly correlated with you physical health. It is merely a part of the physical plane. What defines a mental-illness is merely the time period and the scholarly thought of that time.
For example, homosexuality was thought to be a mental-illness before we fully understood it.
Another example, to many of our ancestor Schizophrenic individuals were looked at as gifted. There were no mental asylums nor psychologists.
Therefore, mental illness is a human creation. The mind can be explored by scholars and doctors but it is all in theory. Not actuality.
Hope this made sense!

The same thing happens to people with mental health problems as happens to people with other health problems. Illness is illness, period.
