My own past life recollections

Since I was a young girl I always said to anyone new that I met that I was born in "New York". My mum always said to me, "no you were born in York" (Yorkshire,UK) and would giggle about it, and I would outright refuse that what she said was the truth, "No mum, I was born in New York". After a while I stopped thinking this because logic over-rode this. But still now, I feel a connection to New York, I feel like there are secrets there and that I will find them out? Whenever I read the word New York or see a picture its like it feels familiar in my heart, yet I have no desire as things stand to travel to the US, it's not a viable option for me. Yet there is something there. In a past life reading I was told I was a music teacher in NY and a loved community member. That I would be able to find a picture of me if I looked hard enough and I died in the late 60's at age 66 if I recall correctly, but I have tried looking online with no avail. I also love music so much in this life, it's like when it's playing I can feel it "in my bones" is what always comes to mind haha I enjoy listening and feeling the music very much, mostly Motown and classics.

Another recollection I have is of Atlantis. I felt a strong pull towards the energies of Uranus, so began to research this and come across information that indicated people from Atlantis have a connection with Uranus. I felt my partner and I had a link in this way. Then I had a very vivid dream of my partner and I being twin females in Atlantis, standing on a podium and everyone celebrating. I have wrote about this before in the dream section in more detail. We are very alike but different too, and this was shown in the dream. I was a scientist with 'geeky' interests and he (she in the dream) was a powerful part of the establishment, somewhat more of a realist. This reflects in our life now as in the contrast of our personalities, yet our core values are the same/similar. It was said in a past life reading we were twins in Atlantis, and have been together in many lives as husband/wife, brother/sister, child/parent, sargeant/soldier etc. This resonates with me very much and explains the overwhelming depth of feeling we have towards each other, I always felt there was more, and during my awakening all these peices of the puzzle have been falling into place. The first night I met Matthew, I said to him (whilst being sick as I had drunk too much from nerves..oops. I don't drink now) whilst not being able to move from the toilet haha "I know I will Love you one day" I had never felt or said this before. As I write this now "you are my destiny" is playing on the radio :) So to me all this indicates a strong connection between us and in past lives that can explain the dynamic between us that couldn't be possible if the above is not true.

I find it facinating the role of past lives, our soul journeys, and the relationship's we have with others in order to grow and experience life! To think 2/3 years ago I had no 'conscious' knowledge of all that I know now, but now my heart is filled with so much, it makes me very happy :) that I used to read about peoples experiences and knowledge of past lives when I joined the site (so thank you to socialforum) and wished that I could know the same, and now through hard work, lots of reading (to the annoyance of my partner haha), and soul searching, I can write here now my own experiences. Through going inside, accepting the good and the bad, and being in a state of meditative contemplation, it leads me to believe that I, and we, can achieve and access the knowledge we desire so that we can fully understand ourselves and fulfill our desire to grow, and at least my desire to become closer to God and the light and love that is within us all.

I hope that in time I will learn even more and would welcome your idea's, thoughts, and experiences of this subject and if anything that I have said resonates with you, I'll be happy to discuss in further detail and hear from you. All this has been in my head for a while and it feels good to write my thoughts out so that I guess I can let it go? Make room for the new :)

Blessings to everyone on their journey.

I love reading about different peoples past life recollections! Very interesting stuff you have here.

Coincidently I live in New York currently and I have always had a deep remembrance of living in the UK during several different incarnations...

I visited London about 15 years ago but this was before I had any realization that I had past lives... I feel like this somewhat opened the floodgates of my memory... I had déjà vu ALOT when I was there...

Ah thank you very much, yes I agree, Its so interesting how different and individual each persons experience of life is.

Thats pretty cool, I do love London it has such a great atmosphere. I was told I had a past life in Picadilly London as a minor stage actress too haha but I dont recal this personally, although I can see where my love of singing could come from :) If you dont mind me asking were there any particular places in London you had de ja vu would be interesting to hear. I feel a strong connection to Cornwall in southern Uk and when I went there as a child and going past Stone Henge It felt significant to me but the meaning of this is yet to be known :)

I agree about the floodgates, takes a while to process, but as I am coming to know, it is worth it in the end :) I wonder what visiting NY could unlock. My partners mum went last year too.

Cool stuff :)

Thank you for sharing :)

It was when we were at Westminster... walking around... playing tourist...when I saw this iron gate leading out to a garden... I just knew that I had been there... there were other things too - and a general feeling of being "home" I would say.

Also - I was magically able to navigate the Tube in like record time - I would just glance at the map at whatever stop we were at and know where to direct my group. I was only 15 at the time so I was pretty impressed with myself... my cousin and I went off by ourselves a lot and did a ton of exploring, we would just instinctively know where to go to find a good time! Haha we had a blast :)

My Grandmother spent ALOT of her time in Cornwall - painting watercolors :)

Her favorite place in the world was Iona in Scotland... I've seen pictures and have always felt such a yearning to go - but that was probably because she loved it so much.

I live north of NYC near the Catskill Mountains. I love it here. Woodstock is close by - our area has that general vibe... :)

Yes, oh thats brilliant. Its facinating.

Something slightly different to past lives. When I was younger I used to drive down this big hill with my dad and I always felt that happy homey feeling like you say, and now I live on a road off this hill with my partner. So that makes me think that inside I knew I was going to be around this area or it felt significant back then but I didnt know why :)

Yes that is impressive, glad that you had such a great time :)

Ahh interesting, its a beautiful place Cornwall, bet her pictures where beautiful too!

Oh wow in the mountains that sounds so peaceful. I would love one day to be surrounded by mountains, water and plenty of green :)

@LadyRose and MoonGlow, thanks for sharing your stories, so interesting to read! I have this strange feeling of home whenever I'm in Scandinavia. It's strange isn't it? Maybe I should do a past life regression to find out more

Hey sparkles :) no problem at all its a pleasure. Ah thats so cool, where is your actual home now? Yes or just set this as your intention, to know what the meaning of Scandinavia is to you, and over time it may become clear :)

Interesting!

I've been feeling Iceland the last few years but I think its just because I really want to go there...

Regressions are great - you can self-regress too! I have been trying to learn some new methods but during meditation you can bring yourself anywhere :)

@ladyrose I think I connected with the beautiful nature and maybe also the space that is much more abundant than in other parts of Europe (I'm in Belgium). Although there was something deeper... as if I had been living there for so long... Or I was a troll in a former life, can't ever ignore that option! lol

@moonglow Iceland is a magical place, maybe in part because there's so few people so you can really have that feeling of stillness and being alone. I wouldn't be surprised if it was an energetic hub of some sort. (pictures courtesy of google )
