Question Where do plants go?

Where do plants go when they die? Do they cease to exist or do they go to plant heaven and such?

Well I know animals/people can become ghosts and wander everywhere but what about a plant? Where do they go (their spirit)? what do they do when they pass away?

I tend to think it more along the line of reincarnation - after the flower of the current is gone then the spirit of the plant moves into the lower stem?

I should have said - after the plant has finished flowering or producing (as in vegetables) for the year, then the spirit of the plant lives on in the root until the plant flowers again the following year. Of the plants that are annuals, and only flower or produce that part of themselves that we cut and eat and are then taken out of the garden - I really don't know, your guess is as good as mine, lol.

I wouldn't say it's anything like humans because our spirits go to a different dimension don't they. Maybe a plant's spirit does the same.

I would say the spirit is absorbed into the universal spirit. It is not a heaven as such but a state of everywhere-everytime, a small fragment of this manifests in the physical body of anything for the time it is needed, before returning to whence it came. The arms of God as some people know it

humans have a way of seperating themselves from god, so upon death we have this idea of returning to that origin. trees never had thoughts of seperation, so nothing happens when they die, because they never left where death would need them return

What an interesting thought. I'd never thought of plants when they die.

Plants are alive as an extension of the Earth Soul. When they die their substance returns to the Earth Soul. There is regeneration (of substance) but not reincarnation.

Knightofalbion, that is so beautiful. I wish I knew. But that sounds right somehow.
I have a plant which is dying right now. I don't know why. It grew from a very large seed naturally outside. No idea what seed, except it looked like a large white pumpkin seed (but not a melon seed) I found it and potted it in the same earth, placed it in exactly the same situation (semi-shade) and it grew to 3" high looking great all the while, throughout the heat-wave. Every day I watered it well. The pot drains well too. It was a happy plant. I gave it a little watered down plant food every week. It liked that. All going just fine. Then we got rain, and all of a sudden I saw the plant wilt. It is definitely dying and I have no idea why. It's not too wet, it has good drainage.....I don't know.

What an interesting question FalseAwakening :)

I believe that in the physical dimension souls go through a long evolutionary process through mineral, vegetable, animal and human stages, and that when a plant becomes carnivorous (such as Venus Flytrap) its soul is ready to incarnate into a simple animal body - like an insect's. The soul's ability to experience and express itself has reached the limit for that vehicle and it now needs a more complex body to stretch its consciousness.

By the same token - when rocks grow crystals they have started to "wake up"...and are ready to become plants...

Peace,
Uma
