Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru.

I highly recommend a book by my teacher, Sharam:
"180 Degrees To God: Sitting With A Modern Mystic"
It is a book of transcribed sittings between Sharam and his students. It is full of very down-to-earth and practical material in the form of Q&A. Also the book has a lot of Sharam's paintings scattered throughout. It is available on Amazon and iTunes.
There is a blog with some excerpts: 180dtg.com

Now I'm reading 'Soul Stories' by Gary Zukav. It seems to be just a collection of stories with a moral, nothing really special about the stories but they do bring a sense of peace while reading.
