First Peoples In The Americas
Saw new program called First Peoples and specifically those of the Americas.
They start out focusing on 12 or 13,000 year old bones found in water cave in Mexico's Yucatan peninsula.
The last part of this few parts series I saw, was about Kenowick{SP} man found in north west somewhere and has US has been in dispute with native peoples for many years over the bones.
What the scientist disovered via chemistry of the bones, came as surprise to the scientist, the chemistry showed evidence of high marine life diet if not specifically seal diet of knowick{SP} man.
He was found inland but appears to have come inland later in life.
This part of the story is preceded by humans coming via land 10-11,000 years ago in a specific opening of ice age in Alaska and norht west.
So they show how humans may have arrived by sea along coast line 13,000 years ago. This dude is in Kayak out in coast line with seweed showing us how it is not only very edible it actually tastes good.
I first read about sea peoples via Fullers book Critical Path and Fullers belief that humans transversed the globe via the seas much earlier than many land routes.
Unfortunatley I missed some of the first program of this series.
I recall some 15 years ago reading the oldest found fossils in the americas was in Peru and East side of Brazil.

Yeah, I'm familiar with those myths and legends, however, the First Peoples program deals more with direct evidence. imho
