Advice on new crystals

Hi everyone,

I got myself three tumbled crystals.

1. Citrine
2. Pink quartz
3. amathyst( I think it is called)

It was funny because I went to buy a citrine for my solar plexus and was attracted by other crystals.

Anyway, I put all three of them under running tap water for a few minutes and later on I slept with pink quartz on my chest , citrine on my belly and holding in my hand the amathyst. I slept well.

If I have the crystals in my pockets all day, how often should I cleanse them?

I am working on my heart, root and solar plexus chakras. That is why I am planning to carry them with all day. Is there something I should think about before carrying them all day?

There are no real guidelines as to how often one should cleanse and charge a stone. Just go with your gut and do it when you feel like it should be done. Cleansing and charging new stones when you first receive or attain them should always be done though, I suggest also smudging them with incense or sage as well to clear away any remnants of energy or attachments.

All good advice.

Amethyst is a great all-around stone but, as a general rule, red, brownish and black stones are best for the root chakra. I usually recommend black tourmaline as it is a great protector as well.

I also recommend getting selenite as it not only is a great stone for cleansing but, it can also charge and energize your stones of the upper chakra's. I almost always recommend using each stones element for charging it. For a grounding stone putting the stone in the dirt or on mother earth in any way can really charge it to a new level. Ask her to cleanse and charge your stone and I think you will be happy with your outcome
