iv'e got a couple terminated ones that are as hard as quartz but others that fall apart. i have needs for both though so it works out fine.

yes you can very well cleanse them that way. go for tumbled pieces rather than rough ones when online. rough ones i wont prefer again. i paid for 1kg pieces that are as brittle as raw salt  |

I bought some small tumbled pieces and it looks sturdy and ok.
Just wondering if a crumbled or powdered pieces of Black Tourmaline would still work as it does like a whole piece if it been put lets say in a container or left there somewhere. What's your thoughts and experience on this?
