In my opinion, we don't ever go and 'get put' somewhere because we've been good guys, or done bad things (like getting put in jail, or given a nice cosmic park to play in)
I think we 'go' wherever our mind-set takes us. The things our desires make of us and what we are made of deep down will create our reality. If we live in a hellish mind-set we could possibly end up in that same mind-set with others who share it, in a vibrational environment which corresponds with those things. On the opposite side of the coin, if we have a lot of kindness, love, compassion, light qualities motivating us, then we may set ourselves down in a nicer 'place'. But it's always US that do it. Nothing and no-one else.

I don't believe in Hell, I do believe that we create that here on earth if we choose, but believe that in the beginning God gave us a heaven, and we are to reach that again... And that our egos created a hell

i would just like to say that i disagree with every post so far. I believe there is a hell (but not eternal) and a heaven (is eternal) and that there is a Last Day, when we will all stand before our Creator (the Most Merciful) to be judged for every action and thought we ever had. It will most certainly be interesting to see the faces of all the people who do not believe in the Day of Judgement, when they are standing before the Judge. But, until then all we can do is wait to find out who is correct or who is wrong.
