All that I need to know is that a Bhootnath is to be feared, respected and loved.

We need to edit out the fear part, then all will be well.

Bhootnath is another name for Lord Shiva. It literally translates as "The Lord of The Ghosts".

This has many meanings and inferences.

Firstly, God rules over everything that is both seen and unseen...good and evil and there is nothing which does not happen that God is unaware of.

Secondly, it means that no matter what temperament, deformity or status you have, Lord Shiva doesn't care...He is open to everybody who approaches Him with love, with openness and a willingness to be placed under His care and guidance.

God does not discriminate between what humans categorise as being 'positive" or "negative". God can be the benevolent benefactor or He can be the Demiurge. God does what "needs doing" and leaves humans to judge His actions according to their conditioning and biases.

According to Hindu folklore, Lord Shiva is the mediator between the forces of good or the Devas and the forces of evil, or the Asuras...because He is totally impartial and is respected and worshipped by both.

When Lord Shiva married Parvati, He was tired of dressing up just to suit human tastes...so He decided to show the whole world His 'true form', which was that of a great Yogi and Sadhu...he showed up to the wedding totally naked, leading a tribe of misfits and outcasts from many planes of existence.

When Parvati's mother saw this, she fainted and all the priests at the wedding begged Lord Shiva to assume a more 'pleasing form' and dress up the groom's party more appropriately.

Within seconds, Lord Shiva and His party became the most handsome, well dressed and well groomed procession that anybody had ever seen...as if to demonstrate to all that appearances and perceptions can be deceiving...it is all metaphorical.

...and this, my friends is Bhootnath.

Once again I love your posts filled with thunder and lightning, they are awakening, reading too much theory is sometimes boring.

Big hug sis.
Hugs back at you.

I agree with Josephine...we could definitely do with an exchange of energies. I need a hug...a 'real hug'.

Maybe it's a pet peeve, but what annoys me greatly is the fact that so many people start a topic to ask for help, advice, insight, then others reply and the OP (original poster) never responds to that.
OR they respond to just 1 or 2 people and ignore the rest.
I find that so rude and it never ceases to amaze me that it happens so much on a spiritual forum (not in this subforum per say, in general on these boards).

Maybe others aren't bothered by this (?), it is possible that it is a thing of mine, but apart from that it is simply disrespectful to not at least acknowledge someone's reply. They put time and effort into reading the posting and helping out.

I am wondering how others deal with this? Do you simply ignore it?
I notice that I'm getting to not wanting to reply at all anymore, but then what's the point of being on a forum.
So how do you feel about this?
Maybe that's an indicator to show you that for some reason, that person don't want to converse with you.
Personaly i have hard time to focus enough,so i guess i did it with some members here. For some reason, when i see big posts,my mind refuses to read them.

But yes,i think there are members who do it on purpose, and i consider this a cheap shot and very egoic.

At least you're honest fairy crystal.

(dare not to quote me,and i'll do the same from now on)

Unless you would be truly enlightened and above all human characteristics you're going to be annoyed by things. Or maybe if you live in a secluded place with no possibility for stress. In any other case it will be falling down and stepping up again. I agree with you.. if people start a thread they should respond back, even more so to those who spend time on their posts. There was a similar topic made in the Strong Opinions sections that kind of says the same as yours.. but it deals with posts, not necessarily thread starters..

Okay, I don't want to join this bandwagon to give you praise.. BUT.. I do enjoy your posts Shivani. Don't necessarily always agree with its content, but you are a fun person because the passion drips from your posts. Nobody can say you are dull..!!

And yes, we all FEAR you on here, you are scary lioness! one that obviously need to be petted because you can be a cub about it too..
