Rijhumal--

Only you (or your higher self) can know that. No one else can.

Why do you ask?

Like IsleWalker said only you will know the answer to that question. You should try to be ready at any time to move on. It want be until after you have evaluated this life that you will know what lessons you need to learn in the next and to what body you need to attach you soul in the next life. I feel some people are reborn quickly, that is if they are ready but if not it might be some time before you actually reincarnate again.

Often a person will repeat the same or a similar life upon a new Earth.

The Jewish visionary Isaiah saw new heavens and new Earths. The same is true of many other people. In my spiritual encounters I have seen many other Earths. Most people who encounter their spiritual collective or soul merely see that encounter. However my encounters allowed me to see what my eternal soul sees.
In the encounters I saw many other Earths. This was a very upsetting experience and I am still recovering from it after 33 years. All I ever wanted from my spiritual encounters was simple things concerning my life here and now. Unfortunately I became a victim of the spiritual world and man's desire to know more about life and death. Thus I was given a view of the cosmic reincarnation process.
After years of study of the encounters I have concluded that the simple reincarnation process upon this Earth changes in time to the cosmic reincarnation process. Thus the future loss of this Earth due to atomic war, depletion of resources, and finally the flesh eating bacteria does not deny the continuity of life for man upon this Earth.
There are billions of viable Earths in the total universe. This includes this dimension and thousands of other dimensions where man exists. The reincarnation process moves from tribal or collective reincarnation to family reincarnation and then to individual reincarnation. Thus it evolves to a higher level. Finally we enter the cosmic process upon new Earths.

Jerry--

You didn't address this to me, but what you say I don't find surprising at all. I conceived of it in slightly different ways, but it makes sense to me.

If "time" doesn't exist in higher dimension, and the creation of a 3D world is a thought-driven creative process, then the "world" is contained in the minds of those who create it--that is all the people who inhabit, those in spirit who helped create it, etc.

Those who "live" their lives there, are having their consciousness flipping into and out of these worlds (as they do other things simultaneously). So, in essence, it only exists in the "minds" of those who inhabit it.

I'm not being very clear, but what you describe sounds right to me.
